TAFE
TAFE stands for Texas Association of Future Educators. We want to encourage students to learn about careers in education and assist them in exploring the teaching profession while promoting character, service and leadership skills necessary for becoming effective educators.
This year we have 23 members. Our officers are President: Zach Johnson, Vice President: Matt Johnson, Secretary: Alex Marquez. Most of our members attended the Regional Convention in Lubbock in November.
TAFE sponsored the Christmas Door Decorating Contest.
We asked the fourth period class in each classroom to decorate their doors in a seasonal theme. The winners are below.
First Place: Mrs. Howard
Second Place: Coach Hill
Third Place: Coach Edwards
Honorable Mention:
Mrs. Chaney
Mrs. Lane
TAFE members helped the Littlefield Classroom Teachers at the Breakfast with Santa this year. They always enjoy working with Santa and the children as they get their pictures made.
Wednesday, TAFE and Mr. Hobbs provided the 1st and 2nd Place winners (Howard and Hill) burritos, the 3rd place winner (Edwards) won cokes, while the honorable mention winners (Chaney and Lane) received candy canes. Thanks for all your work. It brightened up our school.
