I graduated from college a long time ago, when Texas Tech University was still Texas Technological College. I have been teaching thirty-five years. Besides teaching, the joy of my life is my family. I have been married 45 years and have three children. The bonus to that is eight beautiful grandchildren.

I feel that teaching is my mission in life. I love what I am doing, but I do have a few pet peeves. The main one is 'student's who do not try.' I find that if a person tries, he will have a chance for success. If he does not try, there is no chance at all.
